About Liz Erikson Photography
Alpharetta Documentary Photographer
About Liz Erikson … Well, as a wedding photographer my goal is to capture your style, your memories, and your love on your big day. I truly enjoy being a part of your wedding…. However involved or “behind the scenes” we find ourselves, it is my highest priority to document every special moment of the most romantic day of your life!
I fell in love with photography long before making it a career. It was my way of capturing memories, and my camera habits made me the unofficial biographer for my friends and family. That love eventually led me to study under some of Atlanta’s great photographers to learn the technical aspects… How lucky for me that passion and vocation could come together to create a career doing something I enjoy every day!
From musical venues to political events ~ weddings and family portraits, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to capture images of the grand and the intimate. I’ve had the good fortune to work with many fascinating people — recording artists such as Tony Bennett, The Strokes, and Courtney Love…… to presidents, politicians and statesmen including President Bush, Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf, John McCain, and Governor Sonny Perdue.
My travel photography has been some of my favorite work! I’ve been so blessed to have traveled around the globe, documenting magnificent countries and the daily lives of people throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
Now as mother of two beautiful and lively little girls, I am reminded all over again how precious and wonderful the little moments are. I absolutely LOVE my role in capturing the most special of memories for my family, friends, and the new clients I meet every day.
Kara Williams, Photographer
My passion for photography began when I was sixteen years old and attended a continuing education photography class. I enjoyed it so much that it led me to The Art Institute of Atlanta where I received an Associates Degree in Photography. I have worked as a studio photographer and worked as an assistant photographer to the Georgia General Assembly. I also worked for two years as the personal photographer to Governor Sonny Perdue and had the joy of capturing and documenting daily life of the Governor. Having the opportunity to photograph history was an incredible experience that can never be replaced. After my first son was born I decided to resign my work at the capitol and focus on my freelance career. I have freelanced for organizations such as GaGOP, and American Solutions (founded by Newt Gingrich). I now enjoy photographing weddings, families, and newborns. I am always looking for new and exciting opportunities and look forward to partnering with you in creating lasting memories.
